JOB DESCRIPTION: Warehouse & Inventory Manager
Job Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations: Oversee all warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatching, to ensure high efficiency and operational excellence.
Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and full physical stock-takes. Implement robust systems to prevent stock shrinkage, damage, and discrepancies.
Process Optimization: Design and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for warehouse workflows to maximize space utilization, improve picking speed, and reduce operational costs.
Systems Management: Utilize WMS (Warehouse Management System) and ERP software to track inventory levels in real-time, generate automated reports, and ensure data integrity across all systems.
Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with transport and courier partners to ensure timely inbound and outbound shipments. Optimize shipping routes and costs where possible.
Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict health, safety, and security protocols within the warehouse to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with local regulations.
KPI Reporting: Monitor key performance metrics (e.g., inventory accuracy rate, order fulfillment time, warehouse operating costs) and report findings and improvement plans to senior management.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 3–5+ years of experience in warehouse management or inventory control, preferably in E-commerce, retail, or manufacturing sectors.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or local equivalents).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (for data analysis, forecasting, and reporting).
Strong knowledge of inventory management techniques (e.g., FIFO, LIFO, JIT, ABC analysis).
Soft Skills:
Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret inventory data to make informed business decisions.
Leadership: Strong team management skills and the ability to motivate and lead diverse teams.
Problem-solving: Aptitude for identifying bottlenecks and developing practical solutions to improve operational efficiency.
