We are seeking an experienced, leadership-driven Systems Administrator to lead our IT infrastructure operations and maintain the highest standards of system availability, security, and performance. In this senior role, you will oversee all aspects of our server environments, workstation fleets, identity management, and system automation. If you have strong team leadership skills, deep knowledge of enterprise-level systems management, and a passion for operational excellence and robust infrastructure, this is an outstanding opportunity to shape the reliability and efficiency of our organizational technology stack.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, motivate, and evaluate the entire systems administration team, including junior admins, helpdesk support, and infrastructure technicians.
Standards & Quality Control: Establish and enforce high system configuration standards, patch management cycles, and backup/recovery protocols; conduct regular infrastructure audits and performance reviews.
Operations Planning: Develop and manage infrastructure roadmaps, system migration strategies, and capacity planning to ensure scalable and performant server environments.
Resource & Budget Management: Control hardware and software procurement, licensing renewals, and infrastructure utility costs; manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with Security, Engineering, and Executive teams to align system capabilities with business needs and ensure seamless technology operations.
Training & Development: Design and deliver comprehensive training programs on new software tools, security best practices, and internal system policies; mentor team members.
Compliance & Reliability: Ensure full adherence to data protection regulations, internal security frameworks, and corporate governance guidelines across all managed systems.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Prepare monthly reports on system health, incident logs, and project progress; implement automation and monitoring methodologies to reduce manual maintenance.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Administration, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, RHCE, CompTIA Server+) are highly desirable.
Experience: 5–10+ years in systems administration, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership, senior, or managerial capacity. Experience in enterprise-level environments is highly desirable.
Technical & Management Skills:
Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux server management, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and directory services (Active Directory/LDAP).
Experience with scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, Bash, Python) and configuration management (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
Proven ability to lead technical teams, manage complex system deployments, and optimize operational costs.
Soft Skills:
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities.
High attention to detail with a focus on system stability and data integrity.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple high-stakes technical projects in a dynamic environment.
